About
![]() Ok, well, here's the run down... I'm totally addicted to photography and have been for the longest time. Partly, because of the artistic and creative side of yourself that it lets you explore, but equally and maybe even more so because it's the motivator that drives you to visit the most majestically scenic places and during those special times of the day when the light can be pure magic. I studied photography around 20 years ago and had quite a darkroom setup back in the day, processing in both b&w and color. I guess, the obsessive compulsiveness waned a bit over the years, but I would still often love getting the camera out, particularly when travelling. With the dawning of the digital age, my obsession, or passion as I'd rather call it, came back with a vengance and I now can't get enough of it, spending every opportunity out trecking and waiting for that magic moment in time to capture forever. Other obsessions include, Snowboarding, Scuba Diving, Music (piano/keyboards & studio recording), Motorcycling, Computers and Bonsai. Where Snowboarding is concerned, for me, there is simply nothing as pure and exhillarating as flying down some mountain face loaded with fresh powder snow, all your senses working overtime and making you feel totally free and alive..! Other snow lovers will totally understand..! I feel very fortunate to have travelled extensively over the years in search of that perfect snow laden mountain, and have no plans on giving this up any time soon...! Scuba Diving is another one of those sports that makes you "know" your alive and I've also pursued this a fair bit over the years, travelling through the Sth. Pacific, Sth. East Asia, and covering quite a large area along our awesome Great Barrier Reef. I am happily married to my life partner, Linda and blessed that she offers me the freedom to pursue my many passions without question, often accompaning me on many of my sojournes. GrandScape Photography is a result of my never ending pursuit of perfection when it comes to capturing the awesomeness of the natural world. I hope you enjoy browsing through my various galleries and portfolio. Please feel free to sign the guestbook. I'm also happy to chat about any of the above subjects and answer any questions you may have. Best regards, Rob. |
